Meta TagsThere are three types of meta tags to focus on to make your website friendly to search engines, especially Google. First, make effective use of the web page's title meta tag. The title of a page can be seen in the very top of the web browser you are using. The title to this page is, "Learn about Meta Tags". Choose a title that reflects your business model and includes 2 or 3 primary keywords. Keyword meta tags are a list of keywords that are relevant to the topic of the page. Another very important meta tag is the description meta tag. The description tag shouldn't contain just a list of key words. It should be a logical sentence that describes what the page is about and use relevant keywords doing it. A useful tool to find keywords is Work Tracker, an online company that analyzes the best key words to use in all the major search engines. If you run a paid placement campaign, such as Google Adwords or Yahoo Search Marketing, there are keyword tools available through them as well. |
